Oral Conscious Sedation

With a pill that contains potent anti-anxiety medicine, oral conscious sedation alleviates distress and allows patients to relax during treatment. You will take the medication about an hour before your appointment. A responsible adult will need to accompany you to and from our Dallas office.

Once you arrive, we will escort you to the treatment area and get you settled comfortably in the chair. Our team will monitor your vital signs the entire time, and you will be able to respond to our requests. Oral conscious sedation allows you to relax during treatment, and many patients remember very little of their visit the following day. At your initial consultation, share your concerns with the doctor, so she can determine if oral sedation is right for you.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

If you’d like to be sedated with something milder that wears off more quickly, you may want to consider nitrous oxide sedation. We can administer this clear, odorless gas via a mask that we put over your nose, and you’ll feel lighter and euphoric within minutes. While you’ll remain awake, chances are your memory of the appointment will be fuzzy. Our team will be able to adjust the dosage of the nitrous oxide at any point during your procedure, and once we’re finished, we’ll take off the mask and let you inhale normal air. The effects should dissipate as quickly as they arrived, letting you return to your regularly scheduled day.
